Shandong Port Group (SPG) recently announced the opening of several significant transportation facilities.

From Dec 28 to 29, the unveiling ceremony of the SPG Henan Minquan Inland Port, the opening ceremony of the "Minquan-SPG Qingdao Port" sea-rail intermodal train, and the unveiling ceremony of the public bonded warehouse in Xinxiang Inland Port and Xinxiang economic development zone public bonded warehouse were held.

These new developments will provide support to the ongoing construction of the logistics corridor, hub and platform within the Yellow River Basin.

SPG presently has 41 inland ports and operates 91 intermodal train services.

Located in Minquan county, Shangqiu, Henan province, the Minquan Inland Port serves as a comprehensive transportation hub. The first container train on the Minquan-Qingdao Port route departed Minquan North Station loaded with 40 standard containers of household appliances and headed for Qingdao Port where they will be directly loaded onto ships traveling to the Middle East and Southeast Asia.

Recognizing Xinxiang's rapid growth across various industries, including equipment manufacturing, textiles, chemicals, batteries, and new energy, SPG has joined forces with Xinxiang city to develop the Xinxiang Inland Port.

This port is strategically connected to multiple highways and railways such as the Zhengzhou-Xuzhou High-speed Railway, the Lanzhou-Lianyungang Railway, the Lianyungang–Khorgos Expressway, and the Zhengzhou-Minquan Expressway. These extensive transportation networks not only boost economic growth but also provide efficient port logistics services for businesses in the surrounding region.
