Qingdao in Shandong province has been committed to improving its business environment and helping enterprises speed up project construction and solve various problems.

The city, for example, has carried out a series of campaigns to integrate the resources of different departments and improve the capacity and style of work of government officials.

To provide more precise and comprehensive services, a general enterprise service platform was built in November. This platform comprised three sub-platforms for preferential policy release and application, financing service, and appeal response.  

At the preferential policy release and application platform, people can find more than 3,000 policy documents issued by national, provincial and municipal governments, as well as over 260,000 pieces of policy information. People can also use this platform to search and apply for related policies and check approval results.

The financing service platform is connected to 57 financial institutions and 546 branches. There are more than 300 kinds of products and services listed under different categories for enterprises to choose from.

Enterprises can access information, make complaints, seek assistance and submit proposals at the appeal response platform. After receiving the appeals, officials will come to the site or contact the enterprise within two hours and provide advice within one day. They will also help to solve problems or provide required services within half a month.

Since the platform was officially launched on Nov 2, it has accepted applications for financial funding worth 63.21 million yuan ($8.9 million) by 1,110 enterprises, helped enterprises raise 8.359 billion yuan, and solved more than 2,100 appeals.

Statistics from Qingdao Administration for Market Regulation shows that the city had 2.129 million market entities as of last November, 4 percent more than the previous year. Qingdao will further promote innovation in institutions to strengthen the market-oriented, legal and international business environment.
