The Xushan Cultural Park in Qingdao West Coast New Area, Shandong province, is a landmark that has a rich historical heritage and picturesque views of mountainous landscapes.

Within the park resides the remnants of the Great Wall of Qi, the country's oldest existing section of the Great Wall, and sculpted reliefs that date back thousands of years.

Over the years, many ecological restoration works, including the preservation of the Great Wall of Qi and landscape greening, have been carried out, said Xu Peng, a staff member of the cultural and tourism bureau of the Qingdao West Coast New Area.

The Great Wall of Qi was constructed during the Spring and Autumn Period  (770-476 BC) and the Warring States Period (475-221 BC). The Qingdao section of the Great Wall of Qi spans 56 kilometers and has 22 recognized heritage sites.

Daxiazhuang village, which is located at the Shandong slope section of the Great Wall of Qi, has built a comprehensive cultural tourism ecological park that and offers education, sightseeing, tourism and entertainment options.

Qingdao has in recent years created a popular science museum and study base within the Zhushan National Forest Park and built a modern cultural tourism innovation integration area represented by the film and television base in Houshigou village and the Yangjiashanli pastoral complex.

In the future, Qingdao will create more distinctive sightseeing routes for the Great Wall of Qi so as to allow citizens and tourists to better experience the cultural charm of this magnificent site.
