Enjoy water-sprinkling festival in Chengyang
A water-sprinkling festival is in full swing at the newly opened commercial pedestrian street, which was inspired by the ancient literary work Shan Hai Jing, or The Classic of Mountains and Seas, in Chengyang district, Qingdao.
A major source of Chinese mythology that dates back more than 2,000 years, Shan Hai Jing contains a wealth of information on history, mythology, religion, astronomy, geography, folklore, ethnicities, natural resources and medicine.
The water-sprinkling festival will last until Aug 20, and will feature a dazzling array of activities, including ethnic custom shows, electronic music performances, and swimsuit catwalks to entertain visitors.
Integrating food, accommodation, travel, shopping, entertainment and enjoyment, the pedestrian street is another nighttime landmark in Qingdao.
