In Qingdao's Shinan district, the 400-meter-long Huangdao Road is divided into three sections, with the west section having a gradual slope, and the other two sections being fairly steep.

The road has long been a market where a wide range of goods are sold, including fruit, pottery, and seafood. The road holds many memories for the people of Qingdao as a location that depicts the commotion of city life. Some of the elderly people still wander around this area to reflect on times gone by.

On a house's gate on Huangdao Road, a plaque with the words "Juren Youyi", which translates to "carrying compassion in heart and following principles", was recently discovered. Visitors now have the opportunity to have a glimpse of Zhu Jifang's opulent lifestyle as a business magnate in the previous generation thanks to the plaque.

Additionally, two well-known Chinese poets named Xiao Hong and Xiao Jun found serenity and sweetness on Huangdao Road. They practically traveled from their home in Qingdao to Huangdao Road daily when they were a couple to take in the breathtaking views along the way.

Huangdao Road, with its rich history and numerous tales, is currently donning a new appearance while retaining its own character. The road, which runs through the center of the historic district, is crucial for advancing regional culture, and is now even more alluring to locals and tourists thanks to the restoration of run-down buildings.
