Dazeshan embraces grape harvest
Vast vineyards covering an area of more than 35,000 mu (2,333 hectares) in Dazeshan town in Pingdu, a county-level city in Qingdao, Shandong province, welcomes tourists to enjoy grape picking.

With a history of more than 2,100 years, the Dazeshan grape has become a famous brand, and locals have integrated grape planting with ecological tourism to promote rural vitalization.
There are 34 professional grape planting villages in Dazeshan, with 186 professional cooperatives, and nine large-scale tourism parks that receive more than one million tourists annually.

Dazeshan town plants more than 200 varieties of grapes, with an annual output of more than 50,000 metric tons and generates an output value of about 700 million yuan ($100.59 million).
In recent years, Dazeshan has made great efforts to develop grape planting, processing and tourism, and it has also won more than 20 national honors such as the "National Demonstration Town of Leisure Agriculture and Rural Tourism".
Han Yubo, a local farmer, has developed 12 new grape varieties in 17 years, which has greatly promoted the development of the local grape industry.
