Clam festival boosts regional reputation

A clam festival, which was designed as a new calling card for regional cultural tourism, concluded on June 5 at Jiaozhou Bay National Marine Park in Chengyang district, Qingdao.

The nine-day festival, consisting of a dazzling array of activities such as beachcombing, sightseeing, camping, fashion bazaars, intangible cultural heritage experiences and fruit picking, aimed to promote local cultural and tourism resources.

The festival attracted nearly 60,000 visitors, and photos and videos of the event went viral on social media, attracting millions of viewers.
