Urban parks get face-lift in Qingdao
Qingdao will promote the urban planning and development of parks, and build a number of high-standard urban parks, hilltop parks and pocket parks, so that people can have a green and beautiful living environment and can easily access parks, according to the goal set by the 13th Qingdao Municipal Congress of the Communist Party of China.
This year's municipal government work report also proposed that "60 hilltop parks will be renovated and a batch of new urban parks will be built" in 2022.
Hilltop parks are the "green lung" of the city, a good place for citizens to relax and exercise, and an important window to show the natural image of the city, according to Qingdao officials.
Hilltop parks across Qingdao have taken on a new look after renovation and have been widely praised by the public.
Qingdao is renowned for its magnificent views of red roofs, green trees, blue seas and bright skies. The picturesque parks have become another calling card of Qingdao in terms of building a livable and lovable city with an improved environment for living, working and visiting.
