According to organizers, the exhibition features 33 signature works from a series on gauchos created by famed Uruguayan photographer Luis Fabini, who documented the country's unique culture and customs through photographs.

The event was co-sponsored by the Qingdao Museum and the Museum of Pre-Columbian and Indigenous Art in Montevideo, the capital of Uruguay. It is also supported by local authorities in both cities as well as the embassy of Uruguay in China.

The two museums signed a friendly cooperation agreement via video conference during the exhibition's opening ceremony, with the goal of enhancing cultural exchanges on both sides.

Luis Fabini's gaucho-themed works are on display for the second time in China. In March of this year, the National Art Museum of China in Beijing unveiled 19 photos from the collection of works.
