Recently, the national intellectual property service industry cluster development demonstration zone in Laoshan district, Qingdao passed the official acceptance evaluation, becoming the first of its kind in Shandong province.

In recent years, Laoshan has continued to improve the public service system of intellectual property and increase the supply of services. Efforts have been made to introduce and cultivate high-end intellectual property institutions to improve the service level in the sector.

The district has been working to strengthen the training of intellectual property talents, and encourage international exchanges and cooperation in protecting intellectual property rights.

Laoshan has become an intellectual property service pioneer model in the province. By the end of 2021, the number of intellectual property service agencies in Laoshan had reached 220, covering intellectual property agencies, consultations, evaluations, analysis, transactions, transformation, pledges, investments and financing, with more than 1,200 employees in the intellectual property service industry.

Since 2012, the National Intellectual Property Administration has initiated the construction of national intellectual property service agglomeration zones. Up to now, 16 areas have been approved, including Beijing Zhongguancun and Suzhou High-tech Zone.
