The Shenzhen-Qingdao Science and Technology Innovation Alliance was formed on Jan 11 by the associations for science and technology of the two cities.

The alliance will give full play to scientific and technological innovation resources between Qingdao and Shenzhen and establish a long-term communication mechanism.

It will strengthen cooperation in seven areas, establish a mechanism for sharing academic and innovation resources, and promote interdisciplinary and scientific and technological cooperation by jointly holding academic seminars and innovation forums.

The Shenzhen-Qingdao Innovation and Development Think Tank will be established to provide scientific and technological innovation with big data support in the marine industry, rehabilitation industry, intelligent manufacturing and other fields.

The alliance will organize and carry out training for innovative talent and establish channels for talent training, visits and cooperation.

It will carry out the formulation of national, industrial and enterprise standards in related fields and assist enterprises in formulating strategic development plans and applying for scientific research projects.

It will also promote non-governmental scientific and technological exchanges with foreign countries.

It will work to increase the capabilities of alliance members in scientific and technological innovation, academic exchanges, scientific popularization, talent training and more to promote collaborative development.
