Under the strategic guidance of the two heads of state, the China-Russia comprehensive strategic partnership of coordination for a new era has become even closer, stronger and more mature.

Under the framework of the China-Russia people-to-people exchange mechanism, since 2017 the two sides have carried out targeted two-way exchange programs, sent young representatives on visits, and established the first China-Russia Youth Business Incubator Exchange Program base in Qingdao.

Since 2019, Qingdao and Kazan have been working together to promote mutual youth exchanges. Youth organizations of the two sides have established official cooperative relations, conducted in-depth exchanges and visits, forged a strong friendship, made significant achievements, and brought about new opportunities for local cooperation between China and Russia.

Since 2020, due to the COVID-19 epidemic, exchanges and cooperation between the two places have been mainly conducted online, with a series of online activities taking place.

Qingdao and Kazan will expand exchanges and cooperation in innovation and entrepreneurship, culture, art, sports, youth affairs and volunteer services, further enhance mutual understanding and trust, and deepen economic and trade cooperation and people-to-people exchanges between the youth of the two countries, said Qingdao officials.
