Students learn traditional opera in Qingdao
Since the start of this year, Jimo district in Qingdao, Shandong province has been promoting Liuqiang Opera to primary and secondary school students, with experts and volunteers giving open lectures on the art form.
Liuqiang Opera, also known as Bangliu Opera, is a local Qingdao folk art which originated in the mid-Qing Dynasty (1644-1911) and has been listed as an intangible cultural heritage.
