A new type of intercity bullet train produced by CRRC Qingdao Sifang debuted on Nov 13 in Chengmai county, Hainan province.

The train will be operated in the section linking Laocheng Town station and Meilan Airport station on the island-looping high-speed train route.

The maximum running speed of the train is 160 kilometers per hour. The interior is spacious, with 236 seats and a maximum passenger capacity of 748. It is equipped with charging sockets, TVs, toilets, and other service facilities to provide a comfortable experience for passengers.
