The 2021 Qingdao International Fair for SME Procurement and Cooperation will be held from Dec 1 to 3 via both online and offline channels in Qingdao, said local officials at a recent news conference.

Hosted by the Qingdao Municipal People's Government and the Bank of China, the event is meant as a platform for Qingdao enterprises to cooperate and exchange with foreign counterparts in product procurement, technical cooperation and industrial investment.

Nearly 80 buyers from 11 countries and regions, including the United States, Germany, Italy, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia and Peru have confirmed that they will attend the event. They have also submitted nearly 100 requirements for procurement, technical cooperation and investment.

Nearly 300 domestic enterprises involving 18 industries, including intelligent manufacturing, the chemical industry, home appliances, new materials, energy, textiles and clothing, and biotechnology, have registered to attend the event to explore the international market.
