The climax of the recent 2021 Qingdao Love and Marriage Culture Week left the audience enchanted during a performance of exquisite music at the Qingdao Concert Hall – in the Shinan district of Qingdao city in East China's Shandong province – according to local media reports.

Some 14 songs and works - including Cherie and In the Mood for Love– accompanied by classic love movie clips, offered sweetness and serenity for the audience, to reduce the pressures of the hustle and bustle of city life.

This year's edition featured the theme of "Fashionable Qingdao, Love by the Sea – I Wait for You at the Seaside".

It aimed to create a romantic marriage brand, as well as to stimulate the romance and marriage tourism market, boosting the marriage tourism sector in Shinan district.

The 2021 Qingdao Love and Marriage Culture Week focused on building the brand of "A solemn pledge of love". Some 20 activities were staged – including the Marriage and Love Tourism Development Forum, the Chinese and Western wedding industry exhibition, the marriage and love bazar, a love-themed play and a crosstalk performance.

Shinan is understood to have developed a full-range marriage and love tourism industry along its scenic tourist spots – including at the Olympic Sailing Center, the Badaguan Scenic Area and Taipingjiao Scenic Area.

It has reportedly established a vibrant marriage and love industry, integrating wedding ceremonies, wedding vlog making and honeymoons.
