With the subtitle "Standards and Sustainable Development", the two-day event consists of one conference, four sub-forms, and a series of supporting activities. It is held both online and offline, with 300 guests in attendance.

The guests include leaders of the State Administration for Market Regulation, the Standardization Administration, and other ministries and commissions, academicians of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, experts and scholars from well-known domestic research institutions and universities, and top officials from international standardization organizations like ISO, IEC, and ITU.

Hosted by the Shandong Provincial People's Government and the State Administration for Market Regulation, the forum is designed as a platform for higher-level foreign exchange and cooperation on international standards, and to explore the role of international standards in improving global governance and promoting sustainable development.

One of the sub-forum’s topics will be "standardization supports the sustainable development of modern agriculture", which will focus on the role of standards in ensuring food security and promoting germplasm resource protection, as well as promoting the increase of comprehensive grain production capacity and independent innovation and development in the modern seed industry.

A series of activities including the signing ceremony for a strategic cooperation agreement between the Shandong Provincial Government and the Standardization Administration will also be held.

The Qingdao Forum on International Standardization, which was previously held in 2017 and in 2019, has established a high-end platform for dialogue on international standardization, generating cooperation opportunities among international, regional, and national standardization organizations, as well as promoting the development of standardization.
