Qingdao unveils themed exhibition for CPC centenary

The eastern coastal city of Qingdao, Shandong province on June 28 launched a themed exhibition in the International Cruise Home Port to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China.

Presented by the CPC Qingdao Municipal Committee and the Qingdao Municipal Government, the exhibition displays thousands of photos and more than 300 sets of items that showcase the Party's history.

Cutting-edge digital technologies have been applied to provide visitors with an immersive experience during which they would learn about the history of the CPC as well as Qingdao's tremendous social and economic development.

The exhibition area is divided into four sections that chronicle the founding of the CPC as well as the Party's efforts and achievements over the past 100 years.

The exhibition will last until Aug 31. Admission is free.

A themed exhibition on the May Fourth Movement and the establishment of the CPC was also opened on the same day at Futai Square. Spanning an area of 1,000 square meters, the exhibition showcases the May Fourth Movement, the establishment of early CPC organizations and early CPC national congresses using historical materials, photos and videos.

The exhibition will last until Oct 10. Admission is free.
