A square themed around Qingdao's liberation was launched at the Longhushan Park in Licang district, Qingdao on June 2 in celebration of Qingdao Liberation Day.

The year 2021 marks the centenary of the Communist Party of China, and Licang district has made efforts to promote red education by exploring the history and red culture there.

During the opening ceremony, officials from the district's publicity department presented red-themed books to students to teach young people about the history of the Party and the country.

After reading the books, many students were inspired by the heroes whose faith in dreams, their courage to pursue them, and their spirit of self-sacrifice are still relevant today.
