The Jimo Comprehensive Bonded Zone in Qingdao, Shandong province passed the national acceptance review on March 31, local media reported.

A joint inspection team consisting of officials from the General Administration of Customs, the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Finance, the State Administration of Taxation, the State Administration of Foreign Exchange and other related departments, carried out an online inspection of the zone's facilities and operations management.

All members of the inspection team agreed that the Jimo Comprehensive Bonded Zone complies with the relevant laws and regulations and is ready for official operation.

The Jimo Comprehensive Bonded Zone, which spans 1.2 square kilometers, is located at the core area of the Qingdao Oceantec Valley and is at the forefront of the integrated development of the Jiaodong Economic Circle. The zone serves Qingdao's position as the eastern starting point of the New Eurasian Land Bridge and a hub city of the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road.

According to local officials, the zone is the first comprehensive bonded zone in Shandong province focusing on the general aviation industry. When put into operation, the zone will contribute to Qingdao's efforts to serve and be integrated into the nation's new development paradigm and facilitate further opening-up and international trade.
