Recruitment season starts for college graduates in Qingdao

The recruitment season for college graduates in the eastern coastal city of Qingdao, Shandong province kicked off on Feb 23, local media reported.

The launch ceremony, held via both online and offline channels, was broadcast on 11 platforms, attracting 2.54 million college graduates and employers.

"The recruitment will run until May. More than 81,000 positions from over 2,300 companies across the city are now available. These jobs are in manufacturing, construction, finance, transportation, information technology service industry, real estate, education and other industries," said Hua Hui, director of local employment service center for college and technical secondary school graduates.

According to Hua, the salaries of these positions are all above 5,000 yuan ($775) a month.

A series of themed recruitment events and promotions will be held during the period to attract more talents to work in Qingdao and better serve the employers and job seekers, according to local officials.

Districts and counties in Qingdao have also launched a slew of preferential policies to lure more talents in a bid to fuel local high-quality development.

The organizing committee of the recruitment season has also worked with Qingdao Daily to open a special employment channel, where job hunters from home and abroad can have a comprehensive and in-depth understanding of the city's employment policy guidelines, internship, recruitment information, enterprise promotion, career guidance and access other related recruitment services.
