The eastern coastal city of Qingdao, Shandong province added two new national-level science and technology business incubators, according to the list recently released by the Torch High Technology Industry Development Center of the Ministry of Science and Technology.

The listed enterprises were Qingdao Oceantec Valley Entrepreneurship Center and the technology business incubator of Qingdao Tianan Cyber Park.

According to local officials, the total number of State-level incubators in Qingdao now reaches 21.

The Qingdao Oceantec Valley Entrepreneurship Center is the first professional incubator in the marine field in China. By building the industry-university-research collaborative innovation network, the incubator focuses on marine biology, marine technology and equipment, as well as marine information.

The center is currently home to more than 40 scientific and technological enterprises in the marine field. It has cultivated 15 high-tech enterprises in total, as well as introduced more than 10 top-notch talents.

The technology business incubator of Qingdao Tianan Cyber Park focuses on electronic information, smart manufacturing, new materials, big data, artificial intelligence, and other strategic emerging industries. It has cultivated 14 high-tech enterprises.
