All-new Audi A3L limousine launched at Qingdao plant
The newest Audi A3L limousine rolled off the production line at FAW-Volkswagen Automotive Co's East China plant in Qingdao, Shandong province on Nov 12, marking a new chapter in the development of Qingdao's automobile industry.
The Qingdao branch of FAW-Volkswagen also launched its latest Audi A3 Sportback on Sept 9.
The two models, which feature a sharper style and more modern interior tech, will hit the market in 2021.
Output of the new Audi A3 series at the Qingdao plant is currently up to 40 per day, and is expected to climb to 135 by the end of the year.
Since its establishment in 2018, the Qingdao plant of FAW-Volkswagen has produced 510,000 vehicles, generating nearly 40 billion yuan ($5.85 billion) in output and more than 3 billion yuan in tax revenue.
