The Qingdao Industrial Internet Industry-University-Research Cooperation Alliance was established on July 15 at the Qingdao campus of Shandong University of Science and Technology.

The alliance will focus on the key technical problems in the development of the city's industrial internet. It will break down the barriers between disciplines and majors and between universities and enterprises to attract talent and create an innovative ecology within the Qingdao industrial internet industry through the integration of industry, education and research.

The alliance, which is the first of its kind established in Qingdao, will leverage the university's capabilities in computer science and technology to integrate industrial internet talent cultivation, scientific and technological innovation, and industrial service.

The alliance consists of more than 60 member units which include universities and research institutes in Qingdao such as Shandong University, Ocean University of China, Qingdao Research Institute of Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Qingdao Academy of Intelligent Industries, as well as high-tech enterprises such as Haier, Tencent Cloud, iFlytek, SenseTime and DBAPPSecurity.

During the launch ceremony, Shandong University of Science and Technology and Haier also signed a strategic cooperation agreement to cultivate talents for the industrial internet industry chain.
