Four makeshift hospitals completed in 48 hours at Qingdao airport

Four makeshift hospitals were completed within 48 hours at Qingdao Liuting International Airport in East China's Shandong province in response to the growing number of imported COVID-19 cases.

The hospitals were immediately put into operation on Wednesday to check the health conditions of inbound passengers.

The airport is one of 12 domestic airports where all Beijing-bound flights must reroute first before heading to the capital city, according to the Civil Aviation Authority of China.

As of Thursday noon the city had reported seven imported confirmed COVID-19 cases since March 10.

The mobile cabin hospital project was completed by the Fourth Construction Co Ltd of China Construction Eighth Engineering Division.
