Chengyang hosts conference for entrepreneurs

The 2019 Qingdao Chengyang Entrepreneurs Conference was held on Dec 16 in Chengyang district of Qingdao, Shandong province. More than 700 entrepreneurs from Japan, South Korea, Qingdao, and Shenzhen attended.
Attendees included representatives of state-owned companies, private enterprises, and foreign-funded companies involved in many different sectors in Chengyang district, the Qingdao High-Tech Zone, and the Qingdao rail transit demonstration zone.
In recent years, Chengyang district has created many new opportunities, established a variety of platforms, and launched a slew of preferential policies to facilitate the development of local companies. The district government offered 30 million yuan ($4.29 million) in awards to nearly 60 excellent entrepreneurs during the conference.
Among the recipients was the top management team of the CRRC Qingdao Sifang Co, which was awarded 1 million yuan after taxes.
Liu Jie, chairman of Bombardier Sifang (Qingdao) Transportation Ltd, and two other entrepreneurs were named "outstanding entrepreneurs" and each was awarded 800,000 yuan after taxes.
Lan Yuzhen, chairman of CRRC Sifang Co and 24 other entrepreneurs were named "industry leading entrepreneurs" and each was awarded 500,000 yuan after taxes.
An additional 30 entrepreneurs were named "excellent entrepreneurs" and each was awarded 300,000 yuan after taxes.
At the conference, representatives from Chengyang district, the Qingdao High-Tech Zone, and the Qingdao rail transit demonstration zone also shared their development blueprints and the measures they had taken to benefit enterprises.
