A trade tower serving the Qingdao Area of the China (Shandong) Pilot Free Trade Zone was inaugurated on Oct 10 in Qingdao West Coast New Area.

The tower covers a total area of 17,056 square meters and has a construction area of 47,300 sq m.

According to local officials, the tower is designed to be an important carrier platform for the development of modern marine industry and international trade enterprises in the Qingdao area of the Shandong FTZ.

It will focus on introducing shipping, logistics, freight forwarding and customs declaration companies.

An administrative service center located in the building opened to the public as well, which is able to handle more than 560 approval and public service items.

Officials said that items closely related to enterprise production and the daily lives of individuals can be handled with a single visit to the service center.

The Qingdao area of the Shandong FTZ covers an area of 52 square kilometers. It will focus on the development of modern marine industry, international trade, shipping logistics, modern finance, advanced manufacturing and other industries.
