A special concert by Qingdao Qunxing (Stars) Chorus was staged on Aug 27 in the eastern coastal city of Qingdao, Shandong province, to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China.

Supported by the Qingdao publicity department and the Qingdao municipal bureau of tourism and culture, the concert -- conducted by Zhang Naiheng, the chorus leader -- included over 20 songs spanning a range of styles.
