Qingdao makes progress in health sector

Qingdao's health departments have been working to attract domestic and overseas high quality medical institutions and medical talents to settle down in Qingdao, promoting the development of the city's medical and health sector.

In recent years, Qingdao has set up cooperative relationships with more than 90 domestic and overseas medical institutions and scientific research institutes from the United States, Germany, France, the Netherland, Japan, and South Korea.

By establishing cooperative hospitals and disciplines, as well as holding technical training sessions, Qingdao has set up effective mechanisms for inviting foreign experts to work in the city to give technical instruction and to train outstanding medical staff.

The city has sent a number of leading medical staff to study abroad, which has effectively improved Qingdao's medical service level. 

For many years, Qingdao has established cooperative relationships with more than 30 leading medical and scientific research institutions from more than 20 countries and regions including the United States, Canada, Germany, France, and South Korea.

In March 2015, the Qingdao international medical cooperation center was put into operation. It annually holds an international medical forum, which has become a famous international academic brand. It has also set up cooperative relationship with 51 international medical institutions for telemedicine, collaborative research, and for training abroad, fulfilling medical technology integration and the sharing of scientific research resources.

The international outpatient center of Qingdao hospital is the first foreign-related medical clinic implementing international standards in the province. It employs 17 foreign experts from the United States and South Korea, and offers medical services that meet international standard and processes for nearly 100,000 foreign people from 100 countries, becoming a symbol of Qingdao becoming  an international city.
