The beer drinking contest of the 28th Qingdao International Beer Festival got underway in the Laoshan venue on July 25.

This year, the contest has been divided into male and female groups for the first time, which attracts numerous competitors from both home and abroad. The male and female drinking champions will be selected after drinking speed and drinking capacity competitions. Some fun competition events are also involved, such as guessing beer brands after blind tasting and gulping to the line drawn on the cup with a margin of error of less than 0.1cm.

This is the 24th edition of the drinking contest during the Qingdao International Beer Festival. The contest has been held continuously since 1995, aiming to display the charms of Qingdao beer culture and attracting locals and tourists alike to experience it.
