The Qingdao Central Hospital Group consists of Qingdao Central Hospital, Qingdao Tumor Hospital and Occupational Disease Prevention Hospital of Qingdao. 

Qingdao Central Hospital (or No 2 Affiliated Hospital of Medical College of Qingdao University), was founded in 1953 under the name of Qingdao Textile Hospital. It is the first third-grade class-A hospitals in Qingdao. It got the current name in 2003. Qingdao Tumor Hospital was founded in 1972 and is the only specialized tumor prevention hospital of the city. 

At present, the Group covers an area of 89,000 sq meters and has a floor space of 100,000 sq m with the total assets of 800 million yuan. There are 47 specialized departments and 18 medical technical sections. It receives more than 600,000 outpatients and 32,000 inpatients annually. It carries out more than 10,000 operations on an annual basis. 

The hospital boasts a group of  world- class advanced equipment such as intensity modulated linear accelerator, PET-CT, gamma-knife for both head and body, neutron knife, argon-helium knife, and digital medical information platforms like HIS, PACS and LIS, etc.

The Group now has five provincial-level clinical specialized departments (disciplines), 12 key municipal-level disciplines and one key municipal-level laboratory.
