Jiaozhou National Economic and Technological Development Zone（国家级胶州经济技术开发区） is where Jiaodong International Airport, multimodal transport customs supervision center and the “land, shipping and air transport” 15-min transportation and economic circle of Qingdao Qianwan Port are located.

It is designed to foster and expand three industry chains worthy of hundreds of billions, namely high-end equipment manufacturing, Internet Plus modern service industry, aviation and automobile manufacturing. 

In the development zone, there are Logistics R&D Institute of Tsinghua University, Tsinghua University-Beika Mass Entrepreneurship and Innovation Base, Qingdao R&D Institute of Xi’an Jiaotong University, Qingdao Branch of China Academy of Machinery Science & Technology, and Qingdao R&D Institute of Shenyang Aerospace University.

So far, it has introduced 99 projects with a total investment of 11.6 billion yuan ($1.75 billion).
