Qingdao West Coast New Area (Qingdao WCNA) recently secured seven new spots in Shandong's 10th batch of provincial manufacturing single-champion enterprises, accounting for 35 percent of the city's total selections.
This latest addition elevates the area's cumulative total to 61 champions at the provincial-level or higher, comprising 21 national and 40 provincial honorees. National-level manufacturing single-champion enterprises now represent 46.7 percent of Qingdao's total.
This steady rise reflects a systemic strategy to optimize industrial structures and cultivate new quality productive forces. By advancing traditional sectors, breaking through in emerging fields, and reinforcing industrial ecosystems, the area is transforming standalone breakthroughs into an integrated, resilient manufacturing cluster.
Strategic emerging industries serve as a core driver of this momentum. Focusing on advanced equipment, green technologies, and next-generation information tech, the area nurtures high-growth innovators. A prime example is Qingdao Sri Intellectual, a newly recognized provincial manufacturing single-champion enterprise specializing in cutting-edge semiconductor front-end equipment.
Chairman Nie Xiang noted that the firm thrives within the region's rapidly maturing integrated circuit ecosystem and remains committed to driving core technological breakthroughs. Meanwhile, sector peers like Qingdao Huarui Auto Parts leverage local manufacturing synergies to maintain leading market shares nationwide.
Looking ahead, Qingdao WCNA aims to accelerate the development of foundational infrastructure while fostering forward-looking sectors like humanoid robotics and hydrogen energy, solidifying its position as a powerhouse for advanced manufacturing.
