On June 28, the 2026 Poli Beer and Food Carnival kicked off at Henghe Park in Poli town, Qingdao West Coast New Area. This half-month summer festival serves as a vibrant platform for cultural heritage, industrial innovation, and tourism, showcasing how the historic town has evolved over the years.

The opening ceremony blended tradition and modernity, featuring artistic performances like the vibrant dances and classic Maoqiang opera (another Shandong opera genre), which highlighted the town's rich local culture. A key highlight was the launch of the Fun Travel in Poli tourism brand, which integrates industrial, folk, and culinary routes to shift from isolated festive events toward immersive, year-round tourism experiences.

Beyond entertainment, the carnival reflects Poli's forward-looking development. While visitors enjoy diverse delicacies like roasted meat and fresh seafood, or engage with unique attractions like "beer bicycles", they are also witnessing the town's commitment to the "dual carbon" strategy.

Through the growth of the Qingdao Hydrogen Energy Industrial Park, Poli is rapidly establishing a comprehensive hydrogen supply chain, signaling its transformation into a green, industrial powerhouse.
