Shandong's tourism sector recently captivated the Yangtze River Delta market, with Qingdao West Coast New Area (Qingdao WCNA) taking center stage during two vibrant promotional events in Shanghai on June 16 and 17.
The initiative kicked off at Fudan University with the Youthful Journey to Hospitable Shandong campaign. Targeting students, the Qingdao WCNA delegation provided comprehensive travel guides and hand-drawn maps while showcasing a fusion of traditional culture and modern creativity through exquisite mother-of-pearl inlay, paper-cutting, and the trendy Hajiu mascot of the Qingdao International Beer Festival. This effort positioned the Qingdao WCNA as an ideal summer destination for young travelers seeking a unique mountain-and-sea escape.
The momentum continued on June 17 at the tourism product sharing session. There, the focus shifted to high-quality vacation experiences for industry professionals and local tourists.
Representatives from Qingdao WCNA's culture and tourism bureau and the Golden Beach Beer City highlighted the area's distinct advantages, emphasizing its coastal leisure offerings, so-called "cinematic tourism", which capitalizes on popular shooting destinations for films and TV shows, and the excitement of the Qingdao International Beer Festival.
By blending youthful engagement with high-end leisure offerings, Qingdao WCNA effectively demonstrated its diverse appeal. These events not only strengthened Shandong-Shanghai tourism cooperation but also invited travelers from across the Yangtze River Delta to experience the vibrant and modern lifestyle that Qingdao WCNA offers.
