Shinan district is turning this year's Qingdao Marathon into more than a sporting event, transforming it into a citywide celebration that connects running, tourism, and consumption experiences.

On April 19, the Haier 2026 Qingdao Marathon will kick off, welcoming 25,000 runners to one of China's most scenic coastal routes, linking mountains, sea, city, and the bay. To enhance the experience beyond the race, Shinan has launched a "Citywide Runner Benefits Program", where participants' bib numbers or lottery confirmation codes serve as all-access discount passes across the district.

Major commercial hubs including MixC, Jidi Plaza, Hisense Mall, AEON, and Qingdao Yinzuo Mall will offer exclusive discounts, brand promotions, and shopping vouchers. Special partner benefits include Tesla test drives, tea-tasting experiences, cultural gifts, and bakery and coffee offers, creating a vibrant coastal lifestyle shopping experience.

The dining program features seafood, hotpot, cafes, and casual eateries, with bib holders enjoying full-bill discounts, set menus, and complimentary items designed to support runners before and after the race.

Hotels along the coastline, race corridor, and commercial areas are providing discounted stays, free breakfast, late check-out, and luggage services. From April 16 to 20, runners can also access discounts on fitness recovery, beauty, and entertainment services, making Shinan a welcoming destination for both competition and leisure.
