The China-Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Technology Transfer Center, based in Qingdao's Shinan district, is the first-ever government-guided, market-oriented platform for national multilateral cooperation in China.
It is dedicated to fostering deep technical exchanges and collaborations with SCO member states and nations involved in the Belt and Road Initiative, effectively serving as a "golden business card" for Qingdao's ambition to support businesses in their international expansion.
The center has already made significant strides, offering services to over 70 top enterprises and generating a remarkable 3 billion yuan ($412.33 million) in digital trade services and a substantial 20 billion yuan in technology contract registration.
With a dynamic international engagement calendar, the center has facilitated business inspection services, including visits to Uzbekistan in May, Russia in June, and Kazakhstan in July of this year. Upcoming visits are planned for countries like Belarus and Tajikistan.
Additionally, the China-SCO Technology Transfer Center has developed an international technological achievement release platform, serving as a hub for domestic and foreign enterprises to discover products, technologies, and services. This platform has amassed an impressive catalog of over 4,000 technology projects from 53 countries and regions.
In its pursuit of global synergy, the center has established collaborative centers in numerous cities across the world, including St. Petersburg and Kazan in Russia, London in the UK, Astana in Kazakhstan, Tashkent in Uzbekistan, and several major cities within China, such as Beijing, Shanghai, and Wuxi.
