In recent years, Shinan district in East China's Qingdao has focused on improving its business environment with the aim of encouraging innovation and entrepreneurship, and stimulating market vitality.

Local authorities said that Shinan has built a platform for enterprises to promote the commercialization of scientific and technological achievements. Efforts have also been made to improve service levels for enterprises.

The SCO Member Technology Transfer Center of Shanghai, which was unveiled in Shinan in 2020, has built a professional platform for enterprises engaging in international cooperation. Presently, the center has signed cooperative agreements with international colleges and institutions in countries and regions such as Russia to promote scientific research and development.

The district has also launched a professional platform for the commercialization of scientific and technological achievements related to the marine industry. The platform has helped enterprises to solve bottleneck problems and turn research outcomes into reality. 

Local officials said that Shinan will further improve its business environment for science and technology enterprises and promote the deep integration of innovation and industrial chains, which will aid Qingdao's goals of becoming a modern international metropolis.
