The "Shanghai Entrepreneurs' Tour to Qingdao" event was held on May 27 in the eastern coastal city of Qingdao, Shandong province.

Hosted by the CPC Qingdao Municipal Committee and the Qingdao Municipal Government, the event was attended by more than 30 Shanghai entrepreneurs from Focus Media, GLP (China), Yihai Kerry Arawana Holdings, Shanghai Stock Exchange, Donghai Securities, Nisun, Yuexing Group, Shanghai Electric, Hema Fresh and more.

The event is meant to serve as a platform for information exchange, resource sharing and common development, so as to further promote economic and trade cooperation between Shanghai and Qingdao.

Since June of last year, Qingdao has sent 362 officials to conduct professional training at enterprises, universities, and business associations in Shanghai in order to learn about the city's advanced development practices.

Qingdao officials promoted their city at the event and expressed hope that Shanghai and Qingdao would strengthen cooperation. They extended an invitation to Shanghai entrepreneurs in terms of developing the real economy, scientific and technological innovation, and digital transformation.

Agreements for more than 10 cooperation projects were signed. They involved regional headquarters, supply chain management, and more.

Shanghai entrepreneurs will visit the Bank of Qingdao, Jinjialing Financial Zone, Haier Group, and Tsingtao Museum in Qingdao.
