Projects worth 53.72 billion yuan inked in Chengyang
A total of 25 key projects receiving 53.72 billion yuan ($8.31 billion) in investment were signed on Feb 20 in Chengyang district, Qingdao, local media reported.
The projects, which cover five important areas of focus for the government - new-generation information technology, new energy and new materials, high-end equipment, healthcare and biological medicine, and modern services - are expected to contribute to local high-quality development, said local officials.

Chengyang will continue with efforts to attract high-tech and high value-added projects from Global Fortune 500 companies and industry leaders this year, which marks the beginning of the 14th Five-Year Plan Period (2021-25), said local officials.
The district will focus on developing industrial clusters for each of the five aforementioned industries to fuel high-quality development of the local economy.
