The Qingdao International Technology Transfer Conference and the 2nd SCO Member States Youth Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition were held in Shinan district, Qingdao in East China's Shandong province on Dec 10.

The event was attended by officials from the Qingdao people's municipal government, diplomats from countries involved in the Belt and Road Initiative, well-known industry investors, entrepreneurs, experts, and scholars from home and abroad, and young entrepreneurs.

The SCO Member Technology Transfer Center in Shanghai, China was launched during the opening ceremony. The center is located in the Shinan Software Park and has a total area of nearly 20,000 square meters. It is the first new international scientific and technological cooperation platform in China with a focus on marketization, internationalization, and specialization.

Contracts involving cross-border industry between Shinan and industrial enterprises from home and abroad and technological commercialization achievements were shared between participants at the event, and a number of new platforms were launched during the opening ceremony.
