COSMOPlat, an industrial internet platform developed by Haier Group, Doublestar, a Qingdao-based tire company, and the Qingdao University of Science and Technology signed a strategic cooperation agreement on June 8 to jointly develop an industrial internet platform for the rubber sector.

This cooperation will facilitate Qingdao's efforts to develop into the world's industrial internet capital, said one local official.

The rubber industry is one of the prominent industries in Qingdao and has a strong industrial foundation in the city. Industrial internet will help this traditional industry upgrade and digitalize.

Qingdao's rubber industry will enter a new era of development with the help of Doublestar's "Industry 4.0 smart tire factory," Qingdao University of Science and Technology's innovation platform, and COSMOPlat, one of the top global industrial internet service providers, said local officials.
