Geng Tao – Vice Mayor

Geng Tao, born in November 1965, is a male of Han ethnicity from Zouping, a county-level city in Shandong province. He joined the Communist Party of China (CPC) in November 1986 and entered the workforce in July 1988. He has a bachelor's degree in law.
He is currently vice mayor of Qingdao.
Geng is responsible for affairs related to science and technology, industry and information technology, state-owned assets supervision, big data development management, and private economic development.
He is also responsible for affairs related to the Qingdao Blue Silicon Valley and the city's national innovative demonstration zone.
In addition, he is a liaison officer for the Qingdao National High-tech Industrial Development Zone, the Qingdao Federation of Industry and Commerce, the Qingdao Federation of Trade Unions, and the Qingdao Association for Science and Technology.
