Lee Chong Wei movie to hit big screen

The world premiere event of Malaysian badminton legend Lee Chong Wei's biographical film Lee Chong Wei: Rise of the Legend was held on March 9 at the Bukit Jalil National Stadium.

The movie tells the inspirational story of Lee becoming a professional badminton player and national Malaysian hero despite facing various difficulties and obstacles.

According to CNI (Creative Network International), one of the film's sponsors, the does not merely depict the life journey of the badminton player, but also spread a never-say-die sprite to the audience.

"I hope the film will pay tribute to Lee Chong Wei who has inspired us all, especially Malaysians, with his fighting spirit," said Teng Bee, the film director.

The film will hit the cinemas on March 15 across Malaysia, which is also expected to be introduced to China.
