Blooming peonies attract tourists in Qingdao

The peony garden was set up by 70-year-old Xie Weizhu in 2006. Covering an area of 8 mu (0.53 hectares), the garden at that time was planted with the first 3,000 peony seedlings that Xie had brought from Luoyang, Henan province and Heze, Shandong province, both of which are famed for peony cultivation.
