A working group from Shandong province visited the Xi'an International Trade and Logistics Park on April 6 to promote further cooperation between the ports of Xi'an and Qingdao alongside a symposium held to promote regional logistics and supply chain development reforms.

The proposal released at the symposium urged the ports of Xi'an and Qingdao to jointly engage in sea, air and railway transportation services to promote an integrated logistics service platform. Information sharing between the two places was also suggested to further promote regional logistics service.

According to the symposium, regular cargo services between Xi'an and Qingdao will begin operations and the introduction of preferential policies will help enterprises to cut logistics cost.

In additionally, the customs and port departments of Qinghai and Xi'an will sign a cooperation memo in mid-May to make agreements on hosting future cooperation forums.
